Shaunda Brown serves as the Director of Student Inclusion and Involvement at Edgewood College. Shaunda is committed to creating equitable educational environments that center the experiences of students with marginalized identities and provides enriching experiences that actively promote social justice and civic engagement. In her role, she is responsible for the oversight of student involvement, leadership development, orientation, and multicultural affairs.
Shaunda is a proud first-generation college student. She received a Bachelor of Liberal Studies, with an interdisciplinary focus on Psychology and Ethnic Studies, from Bowling Green State University. After working professionally for two years, she returned to BGSU and received a Master of Arts in College Student Personnel. Shaunda’s experience in student affairs spans through various functional areas; including Residence Life, Multicultural Affairs, and Fraternity and Sorority Life.
Shaunda is a proud member is Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She enjoys reading Afro-Fiction (her favorite book is Kindred by Octavia Butler), writing, and at home gourmet cooking.
